10 Ways To Get To Zero Waste In The Kitchen

3. Freeze Meals

Freezing food is a great way to make it last longer. Many items can be sealed and frozen for months without losing nutritional value or taste. Food that is close to expiring or losing its appeal can be made into meals and then frozen. Even leftovers can be packaged for future use.

4. Check The Refrigerator

Start by checking the temperature, it should be between 35-38 degrees to keep food at its freshest. Get into the habit of looking through the items in your fridge for things that need to be used right away. Having a designated spot for leftovers will help prevent food from getting “lost.”
